Default 915 springs?

Is anyone using these, or know anything about them? Are they a new part #?

The shop that will be installing my cam said these are what they are using since the 918 recall. Will they be sufficent for a 222/222 .563 112 cam? thanks.

Thanks Evil. Anyone else? This shop is a sponsor and they know what they are doing. I just never heard of these springs.

I think most people around here will agree they're a good stock replacement spring, but nothing to use on a fairly high lift cam. Try a search on this forum for the 915 springs... Should find what you're looking for..

I had them on my car when I had the T1 cam.. They did not last a week. I put 941's on and my car ran like a monster.. The 915's did not break, but they became weak faster than you can say boo.. I would have to say go with the 918's. Comp Cams were suppose to pay me back for the 915's and never did..

XFiveLiter, go with the 918's. They seem to have fixed their "bad batch" problems. New 918's are now marked with a blue stripe.

Thanks guys <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> I'm gonna see if they can get some 918s, maybe they're on back order or something <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" /> I'd rather wait a little longer then use inferior springs <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />

Dan99Valvesprings, thanks for the confusion <img border="0" alt="[Banging Head]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_banghead.gif" />

I've got the 915s but my cam is only a .537 lift and has moderate ramp rates. Lift is not the only thing to consider when selecting springs. I wanted the lightest weight springs that I could use. Easier on the valvetrain, and also quieter.
