Crane Rockers Lifespan?

I'll bet you didn't see that in writing or on their website. What manufacturer would make such a ridiculous statement about their own product. They're not going to overstate the lifespan of the product, but by the same token they aren't going to lowball it either. 30K is way too low in street applications. For RACE ONLY that's different.

Never seen or heard of this, can you be more specific on where you got the information? Is this for all their rockers, or specifically the LS1 rockers?
Just did a quick "Google" on Crane Gold Bearing Failure and didn't get a single hit that would indicate this issue.
A well oiled needle bearing should have a very long life.

I guess one reason I asked was the SBC version of the rocker has been around for a long time and I have never seen reports of this being an issue. I thought when I spoke to Mark Campbell a couple of years ago about the rockers he also mentioned that the bearings were pretty beefy, especially compared to stock. He may still lurk on this board, maybe if he finds this thread he can provide some information. Joe Vinci would also be a good source of historical information since Vinci does a lot of the R&D testing for Crane.

This same bearing setup is being used on applications with 300lbs on the seat and 800lbs open pressure. So it is totally understressed on the lsx applications. They should last well beyond 100,000 miles. So wherever your info came from, it is inaccurate. Hope this helps, Joe.
