Default Terra Yella Rocker Arms

I have a set of non adjustable 1.7, 7.4" push rods, non milled heads, and I am not using the shims. I am getting a fair amount of sewing machine affect from them. The passenger side seems to a bit worse than the drivers side. Is there any way to quite it down?

If you're asking if yella terras will help quiet your valvetrain, the answer is probably yes, that is if everything is adjusted properly. Of course, there are no absolutes in this world.

I put them on my car and they made a difference.

I don't think so. Sewing machine noise pretty much comes with the territory when you have an aftermarket cam. But you can check lifter preload for proper setting. You're looking for about a turn to 1-1/2 turns of lifter preload with piston at TDC. I think about .060-.080". Do a search on lifter preload to be sure.

How aggressive is your cam? Did you check the wipe pattern during installation and did you measure your pushrod length?
