i am about to pull my engine to swap heads and cam and i am considering putting a new set of rings in also, i was wandering if anybody ever checked there compression on a stock ls1 and what kind of numbers did you see, i checked and mine are around 150psi, but it seemed kinda low, but i dont have anything to compare to, any help appreciated.

 

try running a search in the sticky in the newby tech section, it has tons of great information about the stock specifications of the LS1.

 

if they are all close to each other then you are good to go.
