Default miss,back fire noticable loss of power 3000to 5000 rpm

i have 99 TA with 6speed tranny. 34000 on it, i have what feels like a miss and it back fires at idle and when i let off the gas. its not a bad back fire but noticable.the only thing i have done to it is slp loud mouth exhaust and s spec stage 2 clutch.i talked to some of my friends and they seem to think i have a bent pushrod??? i am lost.the computer has no codes set!! any help would be great

I agree that it is either a bent pushrod or possibly a broken valve spring. Good luck.
