so when we were installing the cam ... the guy who was installing the rockers back on stripped a bolt on ... i forgot about this .... so they took a bigger bolt and made it work on it .... i am wondering if this was making the clicking noise ... maybe when the lifter is trying to go down it is clicking cuz that bolt is too big and not letting the rocker function correctly ... here is pictures of the bolt that was put in there ... they are all tightened to 22 ft pounds i just checked

^^^ I know I didnt just see a Home Depot/Autozone bolt being used as a rocker bolt.
What is it that allows people to do all this work and then not wait a day or 2 to get the right bolt from the dealer and instead they start using **** from home depot on the internal moving parts of their engines?
Also why are you running a 7.4 pushrod when you need longer pushrods?

You need to get the right rocker bolt and you also need longer pushrods. 7.4 is way too short. Some 7.45's may be in order, but at least 7.425's.
the base circle of an XE cam is 1.450.

unless sombody tried putting EGR on the intake its not an ls6 intake.. it has a plug from wat i can see on the vid... u see that lil space at the very front top of the intake, rite in back of the TB? look at it from the top and u see that lil bolt? thats a plug. there should be nothing in there lil space.. but like i said somebody could have tried to put egr on an ls6 intake.. ive seen it done before...

o and i have stock length rods with the ms3 no problems. .witch is bigger than ur cam..so i think u should be fine with those PR but id defenalty change that bolt out on the rocker i just noticed that! couldnt cost u more then 2 bucks for that bolt from the dealer.. i dunno how they stripped it.. hopefully they didnt strip the thread on the block, and crossthreaded with a bigger bolt... and hopefully its no corse (sp?) thread.. this is why i like to either be there wen there working on it.. or do it myself.

I believe that is an EGR equipped LS6 intake.
I honeslty cant believe that bolt you used tho. Lets just say hypothetically that it works perfectly fine and will never cause any problems...Uh yeah, dude look at it. Im boggled/

did u pay somebody to do this? id defenatly go back, MAKE them fix it, than kick there *** for the trouble they have caused me! i would have defenatly not paid them for there stupidity of using that bolt for the rocker...the stock ones are shaped that way for a reason.. and that size for a reason aswell. good luck!
