when i was goign to change the spring in the oil pump i was pulling the pulley off and one of the lil things on the inside thats there for a pulley puller to hook too broke off .... and then i told him about it and he told me the pulley would be fine to put back on

A BALANCED PULLEY ... i said **** that and ordered a new one ...

Your lifter preload, or lack thereof, is jacked up if you used 7.4's with a MS3. Its simple math to figure out how long they should be and 7.4 is way short on a MS3 to maintain normal lifter preload.

TSP said that 7.4s would do the job.. they also recommended them! now if they are wrong... who would beable to tell me the truth on witch ones i should use? they made the cam... they should know what they are doing. everybody i have talked to using the ms3 is using stock length push rods! so im confused.

This has been discussed before and im not going to even mention vendors at all. 7.4's are way too short for a cam only swap. You should be using at least a 7.425 or a 7.450. Even an XE lobed cam will require at least a 7.425 PR, so the MS cams which are on xe-r lobes i believe will need an even longer rod since the base is much smaller.

Sure everyone can use the 7.4 and they may not notice the wrong preload and valvetrain geometry over the noise of the car with the big cam, that doesnt mean its still not wrong.

so what would i benefit from getting the right ones? whitch ones is the rite size? somebody should know the ms3 is not new at all... 7.425s? or 7.450?

Your benifit will be a quiter valetrain and proper lifter preload.
7.45's will work but may add a bit of lifter preload but not too much, that would be my choice if i had that cam.

Just get a pushrod length checker and find out the exact size you need. Then post the results from the checker.

You will be the first person out there out of the many with a MS cam that will actually measure for PR size, that will have to be a sticky.
