Well I finally got to tuning my car with the LS1 edit, I was at my mechanics shop and we did all the goodies. I took the car out for a spin and did some shifts at like 6800rpm (7200 rev limiter), and the way back to the shop I noticed a noise coming from the engine: not good. My mechanic listened to it: rod knock. At the very least I spun a rod bearing and the motor will have to come out, I'm hoping I didn't mess up the crank. The car has 69K miles on it and is/was my daily driver, 20K with the h/c setup. So now I have to recommend that people spinning higher than 6500 rpms get aftermarket rod bolts and bearings. It's not all bad news, Mark at Andy's said he'd cut me a deal on a 388 all bore motor, stage III 6.0 heads with a 236/238 .610/.610 Cam Either way it's going to be money that I wasn't planning on spending, oh well. I will keep you all posted. See ya. ~Tony

Thats really bad, but good. You messed up your engine(bad), but it gives you an excuse to A)blow some more $$$ B)get more inches and C)go faster.
