Default piston rings....

....what do i have to do when i put on new rings on new pistons. do i have to file them??? how do i take nitrous into account. and how the hell does the wrist pin come out and go in.......

Never disassembled a stock piston, so not sure how they come out.

On the rings, you should file-fit them for your application. I know with the Total Seal rings they have specific tolerances for application right in the instructions. Are you changing pistons?

To remove the pistons you should take them to I machine shop to have them pressed out(wrist pins) or if you're a control freak like me go get a 12 ton hydraulic press and use a 9/16 socket to push the pins out

For the ring end gaps you'll have to install each ring than square it with a piston than measure with a feeler guage. I'm running .018 top and .022 2nd on my strictly N/A setup. You're gonna need to open them up even more depending on size of shot(so the end don't butt up against each other)
