lsa is 114+0 dont want a choppy idle, the guy that is going to tune it says a 114 over a 112, on this cam, is not going to be much different up top, but it will have a much better idle.
Should have done a 112, that cam on a 112 would behave well and wouldnt chop much since it would only have like 4 degrees of overlap. My cam has 10 degrees of overlap and doesnt chop too much at all, very nice behavior.

Would it be a dog down low? I'm curious about the cam because it seems like it makes really good numbers, yet has great street manners and isn't all that hard on the valvetrain. And being able to use it with stock gears would also be a plus.

My friend just ordered that cam with a 112 lsa. where are putting in next week. I'm kind of anxious to see how it sounds and runs. Oh it's going in a 98 SS M6 with a 02 motor. My MS4 drives ok with the 3.42 so I should have no problem driving this car. I expect it will be more fun in town/short runs.
I don't expect it to be real choppy but I hope it lopes a little more then my cc305 car.
btw I would also do a ls2 chain and a oil pump while i was at it if i was you.

I had the 228R on a 114 lsa in my 98 SS A4 3.23 full bolt ons and a 3200 stall. lost no power down low pulls like hell every where for a mild cam. My exhaust set up was qtp headers 1 3/4 qtp catted y with gutted cats into a 3 inch magnaflow cat back and it will shake the car some from the lope, the sound is awsome IMO perfect amount of lope at a 900 rpm idle. it wont have a ridiculouse amount of lope, however i couldnt pull into a gas station and sit in the car with it running with out someone telln me it sounded good and wanting to have a long conversation about what i had done to the car. Also most mustangs would hear the lope and leave me alone. Believe me you will enjoy the cam.

do you think a 3000 stall on the 112 lsa would work good? It doesnt have to run ***** out but will the stall be big enough to handel the cam and lsa

Ya, Im so excited about it. I hear cams will really wake up a stalled ls1. I really never thought it was asleep though... I dont know if I am going to get it installed or do it myself. It's not the labor, it is the time. I like dropping the car off and getting it back totally different, but I also love taken crap apart. Anyways, I am not going to let it sit around the house, this thing is going in quick.

I have never taken apart an ls1, but I have pulled apart different engines. Also, I think a bunch of f-body guys around OKC are going to be helping so it is no problem. Like I said its not actually wrenching it out, it is taking the time to do it. I just want to get it done sometime soon.
