Default CheaTR cam owners- come answer my questiona

I was thinking of going with this cam but had a few questions about it.

The car is a LS1 M6 on stock manies that is sometimes used as a DD

My questions are,
1) Has anyone regretted getting this cam (ie wishing they had gone larger or with something different)
2) Can a stock tune really handle this cam?
3) Has anyone run into valvespring issues (considering it seems to have a pretty steep ramp rate- esp on the intake side

FWIW I couldn't find answers to these specific questions with the search button

i dont have the cheatr cam but the cam i have is pretty much based off of it. I dd it, and i currently dont have a stall. I also drove it everyday without a tune (very carefully and like an old man). my duration is the same as the cheatr (214/230) but i have more lift (.601/.613) and a 112 LSA. i kinda think that you're always gonna wish that you'd bought a bigger cam but its all in what you're looking for. you really should get a tune with any cam though.

almost everyone wishes they went bigger with their first cam. Half of those that don't regret it, wish they went a little smaller after six months have passed.

Moral of the story: be very honest about how you drive and your future modding plans

I have a 232/236 112LSa and it drives like a baby cam, I would get something bigger than that if i had to do it again. But i am extremely happy with it.

I would REALLY hate to do all that work to wind up with too small a cam and be dissapointed.
By the way, I think that Ragtop99 hitit on the head. If you dont regret it because it is too big...you will after 6mon! LOL
