I have a 2001 Z28 with 25,000 miles on it and will be doing a cam and head swap.
What should I do about the timing set and the lifters? Money is not a concern on this issue but "IF" there is no need to touch something, I wont. I just "REALLY" don't want to have to go back into the engine later because I was cheap now.

Why not do it while the motor is apart? For the extra $250 in parts, you will have complete piece of mind.

Just did my chain and pump swap......should have done it when I did the cam swap. For the additional $275 in labor I could have paid for them at the time. I will be doing the lifter swap when I do the heads.
Good Hunting.
