Default SLP cam...

Anyone have any experience with it? I bought one used with less than 1k miles on it and plan on putting it in in the next few weeks. Also have new springs, keepers, retainers, pushrods, new stock oil pump, new water pump, and the SLP double roller timing chain... Im just wondering what kind of gains i could see with stock heads. Im planning on running NA for a while, and i have all the usual bolt ons, granatelli maf, slp bellow, bbk 80mm tb, tb bypass, hooker shorty headers, k&n fipk, no muffler, hpp3... and probably some other stuff i cant remember. I have the usual suspension stuff as well. What kind of track times could i expect on a zo6 clutch and 285 potenza re730's? estimate on rwhp? how bout fwhp? Thanks in advance!

What are the specs on the SLP cam?

There are two SLP cams out there.

There are better cams out there, overall than either SLP cam.

You'll probably get 18-22rwhp from it.

As for the springs Rev has a dual spring now that doesn't require machining the heads. I would think about the new Rev springs and a more aggressive cam like a B1 or TR-220 at least.

Specs on the cam i have are...

Intake: Lift: .559" Duration@.050 214
Exhaust: Lift: .566" Duration@.050 222

This is on a 111 centerline with a 115 LSA. The reason why i chose this cam is mainly emissions. This are in CA is about to go "advanced" smog, which means dyno testing when smogging. I also got a pretty good deal on the cam itself.. The guy said it had a slight lope at idle, and made pretty good power, but he didnt give any numbers. Im wondering what i can run at the track with it!

TTT!!!

Seemes like a nice smaller cam.. should be fine to pass emmisions and daily driver friendly, easy on the valvetrain.

I have a 212/216 .567/.567 116lsa so it`s smaller than yours and I`m happy with it.. power is midrange, good for the street.
Good luck.
