Default Rollmaster timing chain setup?

I received my double roller chain from SDPC today. It's been too long since I smelled that "new parts smell." <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

I was reading the contents/instruction sheet inside and I'm a little confused. It says to check the straight-edge alignment after fitting the sprockets. I understand that I think but it says the alignment should be ".010 thousands max." So is this .010" or .010/1000?

Ten thousands of an inch is .010"

Just like your plugs that may be gapped at fifty thousands .050"

I know, but to me, ".010 thousandths" is .000010" not 10 thousandths of an inch. I'm sure they mean .010" but they could've been a little clearer.

Jake,
I'm with you - I think its a typo. It should be listed as "10 thousandths" or "0.010", but not "0.010 thousandths". That would be 1 one hundred thousandth, which is way too tight of a tolerance for an automotive application.
