Default tnt wet on head and cam car....

I have a tnt adj. kit from 100-300. I have a thunder racing 230/224 and stage two heads from t.e.a. slp longtubes as well as a in tank walbro. My motor is at the shop right now and im debating forged pistons or not? I thinking that I could spray 150 with stock pistons and be okay but if I do go with forged pistons is there anything else I need to be able to go crazy(300)?

i have the SAME set as you but with Grotts, and now im replacing pistons,,GET FORGED you thank yourself later...230/224 and n20 hit REALLLY hard that cam creates alot of cylnder presure so make sure you have a good tune as well...did i menton it hits REAALLLLY hard <img border="0" alt="[Firebird]" title="" src="graemlins/formula.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

I think that I would put a cam with a little more exhaust duration if you want to spray. I don't think reverse pattern cams get enough heat out in a N2O application. Too much heat in chamber is never a good thing. I've done some things over the years that kept too much heat in the cylinder and we burnt up stuff till we changed our combo. Did you ask TR about that cam on N2O application? My 2 cents. Brian @ TEA

grinch what size shot were you spraying? and what kind of power does your car make on and off of bottle ?

I have thought that a change in cam would be in the works if I was going on the 300 side. Something like 224/227 would be a good choice for big spray right? but I would also like to know what my setup right now would be capable of w/ and w/o forged pistons. thanks for any reply

Dont skimp on your motor.If you can afford em then get em.You will be a lot better off in the long run.Do it right do it light do it wrong do it long.While the motor is apart just have them put the new goodies in.

i just out my motor in with ross forged pistons, and a 222/230 cam and am planning on spraying 200 on it with a walbro pump. get the forged pistons, my stock ones cracked on a 150 tnt shot.

the cam i have doesnt make much power on motor, but i am hoping to see some good numbers on juice or i will move to another cam.

now i have to relearn how to drive the thing, cant get a good 60 out of it on the first time out.

bybyc5, what kind of times did you run on motor and on juice and what kind of rwhp are you making on motor and juice?
