Yes, with nitrous or a 'charger, or maybe even a turbo. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Just to give some perspective........this will make you cry........ an NHRA legal Stock class racer is making 520+fwhp. They are allowed headers, but no head mods. NHRA cc's intake and exhaust ports at 210cc for intake and 80cc for exhaust and the engine is compression limited. The record in the C/Stock class is 10.35et @129.45mph set by a '97 Pontiac Firehawk with manual trans. They are allowed to change camshafts but are limited to .525" lift. Duration and lobe center can be altered. I'm curious if he is using a LS6 intake.........if it is using a LS1 intake, it's even more impressive.......
If anyone is interested, here's the link to the NHRA record page: http://www.nhra.com/stats/stk_record.html
Staying within the NHRA rules, this is pretty impressive. <img border="0" alt="[judgement]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_judge.gif" />
Just my .02¢

I don't think it's possible w/ stock manifolds and stock heads. Now if n2o or forced induction is considered a bolt on then yes! But I don't think it can be done n/a.

There's no way that car would make 380rwhp without those headers. The headers make a whole lot more than 19rwhp at those power levels.

why do people ask questions like this? I don't understand them. yes you can make well over 400 rwhp without headers. NA your answer is NO. whatever you do a happy engine is a well breathing one, if you are not gonna go turbo, get headers.

Some CAM ONLY + bolt on cars (read with headers) are doing well in excess of 400 rwhp. I would imagine without headers, the power would be about 380.

I would think you will choke the motor down to 365-370 MAYBE without the headers. Crazy ported stock 2000+ iron manifolds-----375. Again-- MAYBE .

Really 400+ without heads or headers would be really hard. Wouldn't be a streetable 400 if you made it just a dyno number 400.

My Z06 will make 400 easily with tuning and a couple more minor things.
I currently make 371 corrected. With injectors, pullies, short belt, etc.....it can be done.

Also I don't think a LS6 is going to need injectors to break 400rwhp, as many have dyno'd 430rwhp+ on the stock injectors.
