the sponsor ls1 speed sells a fuel cell. click the link to the right.
thanks for the info though i am gonna check it out
It is not installed in the hatch area. Mine is installed in the stock gas tank location. I can use my stock fill tube. I can also use my SLP dual dual exhaust for the little street driving I will be doing. Give Tom Izzo a call. They did a good job for me and I am very satisfied.
If you install a fuel cell in the hatch area, you need to close the hatch area off to alienate the fuel cell from the cockpit. That is why I went with the custom fuel cell from LS1 Speed Inc. You can order almost any size tank you want I think.
Good luck,
Tom

The 8 gallon fuel cell I have has baffles inside the tank which stops the fuel line from starving for gas on a hard launch if you are racing with only a few gallons of gas.
I also had #10 in and #8 out braided fuel lines installed and the tank made for a much cleaner install. Otherwise I would have had to drill the bottom of my stock plastic tank and I figured I could sell the plastic tank.
Other than that I can't think of any other advantages other than it looks pretty darn cool under there <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
Anyone else have any advantages?

The 8 gal tank weighs around 7lbs. I'll take the weight penality for the baffled sump
