Default Downside to running heads that are too big?

What would be the downside to using a set of 225's or stage III's, etc. as opposed to 205's or stage II's? Here's the cam specs I'm putting in.

You'll loose some power down low- some of that low-end grunt, BUT you'll gain more power up top.

Do you street race on an average tire? Do you race from a roll often? There are also the occasional instances where a big runner head is perferred, but usually not the case.

If you want a head with a big runner, get some of those $1000 CNC LS6 heads with the 237cc intake runners...

Don't forget you'll give up more PTV clearance with bigger valves.

So other than losing a little down low and possible valve clearance problems, that's it? I'm not too worried about the low end power b/c the cam is a copycat of Pat G's torque cam (lotta power down low).

With that cam i would get heads that flow well at .650 with small intake runners, like AFR 205s or Trickflow

I understand what you're saying, but if I was to find a really good deal on a set of used 225's or so, that wouldn't turn out to be so bad, right?
