Default X1 cam, Stage II heads milled.060 with an .043 thick headgasket???

Im thinking of swapping cams guys. Im really liking all the awesome #s the XI is putting out. I cant afford a set of new heads right now, so Im wondering if I will have any PV issues running this cam with my heads being decked so much. As said in the topic my heads are cut .060 and I am running the Cometic nitrous application head gaskets. Total thickness is .040 and the rings around the cylinders are .043 I do have 2cc valve reliefs cut into my pistons already. WIll this stick work in my motor or is it too big? TIA

BTW, incase ya didnt know specs are 230/227 .591/.571 on a 112.. Thanx again guys

BTW, If anyone has an X1 graph they wanna post, feel free. I would love to compare some other graphs out there. I really want to see 420rwhp and it shouldnt be a problem with the amount of compression Im running if I have the right cam

Hmmmm. I would say check the piston the valve clearance.. I have a slightly bigger cam and I am running heads milled .040 with stock gaskets. My old Blow Tech heads were milled .060 and I was running stock gaskets and according to Mike Norris I had enough clearance to run a cam in the mid 230's and would still be safe. Mike Norris can chime in and tell you the exact P/V clearance with that setup if he reads this. I also have 2cc valve reliefs in my JE forged pistons.. Getting 420rwhp with your compression will be easy. I am at 10.8:1 compression right now and I dyno'd 415rwhp at 13.3 A/F ratio. My best run that day on non synthetic oil was 419rwhp but the A/F was 14.3. I had no KR, but to be on the safe side I used the maft to get it down to 13.3.. My car is in need of tuning bad.. I think I will get 425rwhp out of my setup with ls1edit..

I just posted my numbers. I showed flow # for my heads, RWHP,RWTQ, with just H/C and with NOS! With my Auto, Vig 3200, and 12-bolt 3.73 I got 401rwhp, and 521rwhp with a 100 shot! With a little more tuning I will get somemore! I`m still running alittle rich! Read my post, it shows some good numbers all through! I just sprayed her for the first time. It was Bad!!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> My LS1Tech name is BeardWS6, E-mail if you need anything!!
