ls1 engine quiz...... What are the two round black things on the top of the block that have wires coming out of them?

This is really not a quiz...I am just too stupid to figure out what they are..

Re: ls1 engine quiz...... Actually, and I may be setting myself up here, the two BLACK things are valley cover plugs that cover up the knock sensors. I believe the knock sensors are the things underneath that the wires are going into.
