Default Milled heads question...

If I get my stock LS1 heads milled .030 when I get them ported, will my intake ports still line up with the manifold? May be a dumb question, but I need to know what has to be done to make it line up, or does it just fit right up with no probs? Any help will be appreciated...Thanks

The gaskets on the intake are pretty flexible, so you can mill up to.060 or so with no issues! As long as you understand there are other potential issues. I would consider shorter pushrods for .030 or more of milling.

sdpc recommends smaller dowl plugs that are on the intake manifold when ever you mill the heads...they say using stock dowl plugs will cause the intake to not aline properly when ever heads are milled....

you can buy new plug from them or grind/sand down your old ones...
