Default Car is seriously screwed and Im about to start tearing out hair

Bah. 2 weeks ago or so, I had the G5 cam and 2800 stall put in. Car only put down 322hp and 340tq (before was 306 and 330) I had a huge exhaust leak and they said it was probablly pulling timing. Well, I had the exhaust leak fixed today and I put down less! (318hp) Im about to start breaking random things around me. It's going back to LG again next week because they want to do a compression check and a leak down test to make sure it's not my engine thats crappy. (I hope not anyhow) If it's not there, they suggested it was my exhaust given it's so mauled (went from y-pipe w/ cats to no cats then back to cats) and that the MAC cats flow so badly. But I dunno. This is just really frustrating. The guys at LG have been really helpful though. I just wish I could get some damn power. I was just wondering if anyone else has had such low numbers after a cam install (or virtually no improvement) and what the problem was.
p.s I do have headers (macs) if anyone is wondering.)
Thanks.

The first thing to do would be to chill out, walk away from it for a day and re-formulate the potential problems there may be. Mac cats flow well, I don't care what anyone says but thats a helpfull hint to you so you don't chase your tail loking for problems that may not be there. I would go straight to the ORP to elliminate the possibility of the cats being clogged and drive it for a few days so the PCM has some time to learn in your driving habbits. #2, your trans/converter should be checked too, I had an uncommonly low dynoing car recently, a 1992 Corvette, dynoed azz and had a quirky trans shifting problem, the customer bought and installed a new trans/converter, we re-dynoed about 2 weeks later and yeilded about 32 more RWH and the customer went on to mention that the car felt soo much better after the new trans was in. I am assuming that it's being dyno tunned on an 02 wide band? but also monitor the engine on A-tap and look for KR of low timing advance. Good luck and no pulling hair out! j/k

Lol, thanks. Yeah, Im just letting the car sit out in the rain while I glare at it. j/k. I'll mention the tranny thing to LG. They did all the work (cam and convertor) so I'd figure it'd all be right. Unless the tranny itself is just crap (the car does have 76K on it. ) They've been really cool with trying to figure out whats going on. Im taking it back to LG next week for those tests, just to rule those possibilities out. The exhaust seem to be logical, given that Im lowered so I bottom out at times, I've broken one cat before and I think the driver side might be broken again (just another reason to get rid of them ) but would a clogged cat/exhaust rob that much power? Once again, thanks for your help. btw, it was dyno'd at LG.

A friend of mine dynoed around 320 then installed the hammer cam and a few other goodies...had it redynoed and he gained 3 rwhp. Needless to say, he wasnt too happy. Turned out to be just a leak around the PVC valve. Do you have an autotap to check your ltrims? o2's?

No, personally I don't have atap. They were reading some stuff on the dyno I believe (maybe just Knock etc)

Something just came to mind, Im not sure if it'll have anything to do with this though. A few months ago when we were switching y-pipes, we noticed some build-up around my spark-plugs, by looking up at them from under the car. I remember reading somewhere there was a recall in certain 98 cars due to improper machining of the heads which caused leaks by the plugs. Im not sure if this is related to any of my power loss.

Any other suggestion would be great, and thanks for the help.
