Just as the topic says. I was wondering if i could bore it 60 over or just even 30 over without getting it resleeved.

You can hone the block to a 3.905 size. This will clean it up and you will have round cylinders again. CP pistons makes a nice 3.905 piston and rings are available in this size. Dyno

Sounds great. Yeah there is two small scratches in the #1 cyl. Nothing big just instead of swirling around the cyl the two spots go up and down.

From what I understand, you bore the sleeves out and to within .002" of the new sleeve size. And either the block was put in a oven or the sleeves were cooled (one of these things, not both, I just don't remember which) and pretty much drop right in to the block. They are left a few thousandths high also, and milled flush with the block. I also thought G.M. made a kit to go .005" or .010" for the '98-'99 blocks. And on the '00 and up you could go .030".

3.95" x 4.00" = 392 CID. Hmmmmm........

The engine had some non-block related issues (with a wrist-pin), and the idea was scrapped in favor of the 382cid. The displacement worked out to 355cid.

Opens up to alot of possibilities with that. Still not sure i want to be the one to test that out long term though. Looks like a 383 will work nicely. Just a little cleaning up and a new crank.
