again, GM doesn't denounce dexcool for a reason. they've spent so much time and money on it, do you know what the media would do to them if they went back on it? if GM suddenly came out and said "dexcool causes problems, so we're going to scrap it," the media would go nuts bashing GM as it always does to american car companies. they'll call them liars, thieves, and of course, american cars would be even bigger pieces of junk. GM can't go back on dexcool now, even though they're well aware of these problems.
it wouldn't be so bad if our water pumps were $25 like so many other cars. no, we have to buy a casting, too
Here's my question, is there a drain on the block to remove all the coolant? I'd like to remove as much first before I start to add ethylene glycol based antifreeze.
