Thats for the lifters, you can go to any parts store and they will have a hose with a fitting to hold the valves up to change out the springs, if this is what you are asking for.

Not this guy. Mistakes are unintended things. In order to avoid these, I always intend to be an idiot. This way, when it works as intended, it's a sense of accomplishment. And, when I actually make sense, it's an added bonus.

no he is talking about the valves....Your best and easiest method is TDC. I dont even bother with the air anymore because its suck a PITA to get the damn house connected or screwed in the hole.

I rent it all the cam swap tools for a very reasonable price. The JPR Rods, The Crane dual spring tool and the air fittings for the cylinder head. And NO its not the hose from a compression tester. Its $40 from Napa for the air fitting's and hose. You can rent all three tools for less from me.

If you can put a spark plug in you can use the hose. If you cant you shouldnt be trying to do the work in the first place.

Yeah, seriously - I had no issues minus a few times where it just didnt quite want to thread in right away. Most of the time I had no problems getting it to thread in.

HAHAHA HOW MUCH WAS THAT TESTER?!? Mine was like $20 from NAPA and the hose isnt removable. So yes your right you can use a hose from a nice compression tester KIT But to say you get the hose from a compression test kit is incorrect. You can buy it as its own entity and dont need to buy a compression test kit to get it. Which is whats implied when you say you get it from a compression tester. So yes I'm sure about that

Read my initial post again, and notice it is un-edited.

The OP was asking what he should ask for when if he went to Auto-Zone, or the like, and was looking for this hose. I was trying to help him out if the idiot behind the counter looked at him like he had 2 heads.
