Default Aftermarket Timing Chain???

I'm gearing up for a cam swap <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> , and was wondering what the best aftermarket timing chain is?

So... What is everyone using? ...SLP? Comp? etc.?

Thanks

Give Katech Engines a call. They will hook you up. The SLP double roller is also a good chain, but some have had issues running the ASP crank pulley, and they're a little more difficult to install.

I used the JWIS chain, available from Katech or Thunder Racing. Stock OEM style replacement, no need to replace timing gears. Just remember you have to take the oil pump off to swap the chain, so you might as well get a new pump too.

I used a Rollmaster double roller chain on my motor. I would also suggest changing out the oil pump while you're there. I pulled off my stock with 10,500 miles and replaced it with a katech ported unit. While I don't think it's totally necessary... it was a peace of mind issue for me, I do get better pressure at WOT however.

I did the SLP double roller and an MTI ported oil pump at the same time. I would recomend doing the oil pump at the same time as the chain. Like stated before, its gotta come off anyway. I get great pressure from the MTI unit also
