Is there a difference between
2001 and 2002 LS6/Z06 Cylinder heads??
Thanks,
Dave

It's my understanding the bare heads are the same but the valve set up is different. I think the 2001 and 2002 bare heads are the same. However, the 2002 intake & exhaust valves are much better.

The 2002 have lighter valves, with the exhaust valves sodium filled to help with heat.

So, if you're planning to purchase the heads to have them ported and larger valves installed, you should get the cheapest ones?

The 01 and 02 ls6 heads are priced differently
and have different part #'s.

Ian-That is a good question. I am interested in knowing
the same thing. If you want a stage two head from
say, MTI or Cartek does it matter what head you give
them as a core??
Thanks,
Dave
