Hi all, well as i am about to get my 6.0 block from VALVEGOD i need some advise from you all and what do you think about my setup.
the project will be slowly processed due to the shortage of money <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />
after couple of e mails with Allen at Futral MotorSports, we reached to the following:
6.0 iron block
4.030 bore
6.125 rods( i prefar Oliver Billet rods)
Ross pistons
bearing
ARP main studs
double chain
LS6 ported oil pump
Solid cam 260/268 .780/.780 110 <img border="0" alt="[devil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" />
thats just for now...
the only thing that i have to maintion is , the car will be for road race not drag , which means long range racing with top end speed.
i am thinking of bigger cam on the duration however maintain the range 7500-8000 max...
tell me what you think

If money is really tight might be worth thinking about something a little less expensive than building a solid roller 6.0
Good luck

I think you better save for 2 engines because I doubt if that one would last long. You're going to spin a stock crankshaft to 8000 rpm for 1/2 hour at a time?
I'd rethink your objectives. A roadrace engine needs reliability. Unless you want to rebuild it every year.
IMO,
George
