Push rods and Rocker Arms

As I push for a car that breaths is: Same length push rods, 1.8 rocker arms, new valve springs. Remember I don't want to get into the engine but scavenge power by efficiencies. I will change the flowmasters or put a cutout in I would like to leave the same manifold with the same but,free mod, on the TB. I am not out to race anybody nor track the car but to satisfy myself and to put fear into my wife. Long tube headers will be in order and efficient cats.

The sense of it is that I don't race but run it. There is a potential of bending push rods and losing the needle bearings in the rocker arms. If I take the valve covers off then a correction of the issues can be done. If I can push the valve open a touch more then it can breath better. The valve opening might alreading be at its max I don't know but if it isn't then the cylinder can get rid of more exhaust gases. My premise might be wrong so staying at a stock 1.7 ratio might be the best solution. IMO
i had the needel bearing issue, nothing worse then draining the oil and having needel bearings stuck to the drain plug.
and more lift is all ways better, im also thinking about geting some 1.8's
