Excel sheet that calculates a bunch of engine data...
It calculates:
- Engine size in C.I and liters
- compression ratio
- rod/stroke ratio
- piston C/D for zero deck height protrusion
You have to enter:
- bore
- stroke
- rod length
- deck height
- combustion chamber volume
- head gasket thickness
- piston relief/dome cc's
- actual piston C/D
The compression ratio calc takes into account head gasket thickness, valve reliefs or domes, and piston deck heights above or below zero deck height. It allows you to play with different C/D's, gaskets, and reliefs to get the compression ratio you're looking for.
If someone would help me figure out how to make this file available from my website, then I'll post it there. Otherwise I'll email it to anyone who wants it.
Use it at your own risk! I checked it against the Ross Pistons calc link on their website, and mine seems to work fine. It's basically the same as the Ross link, except mine produces a little more info.

Mine's a pretty stupid little spreadsheet, but it does the job.... lets you play around with different combos. Like I said, it keeps me off the calculator.
If I have a copy of the sheet here at work I'll send it to all y'all right away, otherwise it'll be later on dis eenin' (that's "this evening" for you redneck-challenged folks).
