depends on what you are trying to accomplish and what mods are part of your definition of well set-up. Could be as high as 5000 - 5200 rpm even on a hyd. cam'ed car.
With a 3500 stall A4, a tq peak of 4200 might work well, but with a 4400 stall, the peak is probably too low unless the curve is dead flat for another 600 rpms or more.

actually the car i have is amustang with a 347 and so far it seems like torque peak is a little to high.it peaks at 5200.and being a manifold has a little bit to do with torque peak i was just curious were the ls1 made its torque in general being i used an intake with a similar intake runner length.

ROG most of the well built 346's have a TQ peak in the 4900-5200 RPM range. Many of them are over 350rwtq by 3000 RPM and at or near 400rwtq
by 5252 RPM.

I agree with HP GURU, stock cammed motor has torque peak around 4600rpm, so cammed and ported head cars are 4900 to 5300 range. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Most H/C 346ci LS1's have peak tq at 4700.
