Tea
Rev also makes a dual spring that doesn't require machining the heads that might be worth checking out.
The TEA 5.3 Stage 2 heads ready to bolt on with dual springs will be hard to beat.
The push rod lenght can't be determined just by how much the heads are milled. You also need the cam your planning on using and measure the cam's base circle. Then you can calculate the right length for the push rods.
That TR-224 cam has been measured to have a [approx] .030" smaller centerline to lobe heal distance than the stock cam. With .015" milled from your heads, you would actually need a .015" longer pushrod than stock to get the exact preload as you had before. Since they only come in .050" increments, your stock length rod would get you closest to ideal preload (only .015" off) No problem whatsoever.... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
