No rocker upgrade, and can't change ratio if you did.. You can run 918's or the duals, either should be fine. Shouldn't need different p-rod length. I have TEA 5.7's and 5.3's. Both run great. One with dual, one with 918's. 224 cam and 7.4 p-rods on both also.

I like the dual springs TEA uses the Comp 987's.

Rev also makes a dual spring that doesn't require machining the heads that might be worth checking out.

The TEA 5.3 Stage 2 heads ready to bolt on with dual springs will be hard to beat.

The push rod lenght can't be determined just by how much the heads are milled. You also need the cam your planning on using and measure the cam's base circle. Then you can calculate the right length for the push rods.

Just another one of my many pushrod answers

That TR-224 cam has been measured to have a [approx] .030" smaller centerline to lobe heal distance than the stock cam. With .015" milled from your heads, you would actually need a .015" longer pushrod than stock to get the exact preload as you had before. Since they only come in .050" increments, your stock length rod would get you closest to ideal preload (only .015" off) No problem whatsoever....

I just got my heads back from TEA, went with the same TR cam as you did, Comp 918 springs, and 7.400" hardened pushrods. A rocker upgrade is not necessary. Good luck

I forgot to mention that my heads are also the same as yours, 5.3L truck heads milled 10 thousandths.
