Help Me Pickuout Springs 918 Or ISKY or What
I need to get some springs for my STAGE II MTI heads, I currently have the T1 cam and some 941 springs but a spring broke therefore I'm considering replacing all the springs.
I spoke to MTI and they said to use the 918's instead of the single ISKY's what do you guys think ?

Re: Help Me Pickuout Springs 918 Or ISKY or What
I would just go to double springs!
All I heard about when I was making my decision for springs was how great the 918s were and that changed my mind from double spring. I talked to a few speed shops that said these were great and had been using them on many cars with no issues. I even talked to the guy who did my heads and he explained all the technology in the springs and said that 918s were the choice to go with.
I am fortunate (so far) that my 918s are OK, but its always in the back of my mind.
I would do doubles if I had to do it over again.
I hear good things about the Isky's but wait until a large number of people have been running them for a while. We heard great things about 918s for quite a while.

I had the 918`s on my heads/cam setup.
I revved them up to 7K rpms some times as there was a PCM problem with the A$ shiftzpoints.....no break!!!
Then I always shifted at about 6400.
No problems during the last seasons.
I will use the 918`s on my 422 iron block again.
Cam will be 236/240 581/581 lift 114 LSA, shifted at 6400rpms.

Re: Help Me Pickuout Springs 918 Or ISKY or What
I use the Isky's. Revved to 6800 on every pass(stupid shift points) this weekend, no problems.
I had a 918 break when one of my lifters went out on me.
Do the retainers off the 941 work on the Isky's? I think so, not sure. But if you already have Ti retainers, that could save you a lil green.
