Default Misfire after Storage

put the car away in september and just got it out last week and noticed that it is missin. plugged the predator into it hoping it would tell me which cylinder is missin, but it just said random or multiple cylinder misfire...didnt specify....any ideas why its missin?...it was fine when i packed her up....

Put some 94 in it, I assume you're running the gas from 6 months ago?

Predator doesn't have missfire data? Did you check for signs of mice chewing up wiring under the hood?

I would 1st check all vacumn line and electrical connections, Drain fuel tank and fill with some fresh fuel (maybe use a fuel injector clean). Change the plugs and maybe the plug wires if they are questionable (could be time anyway to change). Change the oil and filter. Change the Fuel filter. These are some of the normal things I would do anyway for a car that has been in storage.

If the fuel went bad.. you might have some varnish build up in the injectors and lines. and a good fuel injector and line clean maybe required to get that and water out of the system.

Maybe take it to a shop that has a scope ? (not a scanner)

Good luck..

These days fuel has stabilizers that are good enough to make the fuel last over a few months. It's prolly degraded a little bit but not so bad that it smells like turpintine.

I'd check the MAF. I end up with cob webs in the strangest spots after letting the car sit. Ya never know.

you can sometimes get a real good idea of what cylinder it is by inspecting the spark plugs.thats what i would look at first.i doubt its a gas problem.
