I wouldnt run a stock retainer with the ISKY spring
I would instead buy the COMPLETE KIT that Isky just cam out with instead.

It consists of:
Locators
Retainers
Keepers
Shims
Springs (WITH A INNER DAMPER)

Dont take the damper out,It fits the new locator setup that ISKY just released. This is a TOOL ROOM spring and IMO probably the BEST single spring u can run on an LS1 setup..

what's the install height with the isky ret? I have a set of ret for 941's and the install height is at 1.72, that's not going to work. The isky site states 1.775 for these springs, but i understand people are using the comp ret with a 1.8 install height? Also i don't have the dampners or locaters for the springs.

Have you got any info from Isky yet dean? I was going to run the 941 retainers with them to. Let me know if you find out anything about the kit.

I talked to Isky and i bought the 707 st retainers which puts them at an install height of 1.775, which is recommended for these springs.
I'm not sure which ret i have now, I've never seen these before. I bought them from jmx and the install height was too tight. 1.720

Dean, those are Ti retainers MTI installed on my car about 2 years ago along with comp 941's, back before I bought the car. I removed them a while back since I had larger springs done.

Others had used identical retainers with that 295-D spring before from what I was told.

Jon i sent you a PM, yea i remmber you telling me that they should work. The fitting was good, but hte height came in too tight. I'm sending a pic to Jeff at thunder to ID these things. I went ahead and ordered some steel ones from Isky.
