There was just a bad batch. Call comp and tell them and ship all your springs back and they will give you new ones. 918s in my opinion are the best on the market for single springs.

I feel much safer with my Isky 295s which incidently have a higher spring pressure. New batch or old batch , bad or good, I would never go back after all the failures they incurred.

I feel that 918's are very good.Alot of people are running them and I only heard of 5 people that actually broke them.I'm running the springs from the "bad batch"Have 20 dyno pulls and 10 1/4 passes, nothing wrong with them. The isky's are new and not too many people are running them.I'm sure next summer everyone will post how isky's suck too.

I am not even going to go there.

918 springs = bent valve= new heads =new ET(11.18)

I guess it's a bitter sweet $$$$ ending.

Comp supposedly has corrected the 918 problem and improved the spring quality all together. I am not supporting the 918s since I am still working on that issue , but I would be surprised if the new replacement will be less than adequate for their application. Good luck!
