It would cost way too much to do the final maching. All bolt holes, all oil galleys, all water passages, drill and size the cam hole, line bore/ home the mains, deck the block, yada yada yada...

Make a table out of it.

5.3s are iron blocks.

The images in my head of you running through taco bell in such a hurry and then throwing this block that you found in the trash in your jeep are priceless in my mind.
If you can scrap it for good money towards mods then go for it.
If not, id do like the others said and make a cool table out of it.

I didn't notice that, but I did notice that it was a newer block with the good rear oil crossover galley and doesnt have that perch in the valley area that needs to be ground off when switching to an LS6 instake.

Actually I think it was stolen.. I say this thing on Tv once about Gm and Quality control the have. Basically the robots that make the machines have bits that go bad and what not messing up a block or 2 every hour or so. They take that block and Send it back to Casting where it gets melted down and a new Blank is made from it. It looks like someone got a Flawed one that never made it to Recasting. Hell Scrap it for the cash... Or sell it. Look how many people want a Coffee table for there beers.

Dude I was so covert ops about it too... I pulled into the parking spot at taco bell, and there I saw it through the bushes from my drivers seat. I got out, ran through the bushes, looked at it, looked around, and RAN for taco bell. I got in line and then it was my turn to order. The lady asked to take my order, but I wasn't there. I mean, I was, but the lights were on and nobody was home. I was lost in la-la-engineblockland. The lady said again "SIR, can I help you?" and I snapped to, but all I could do was point to the picture of the taquitos and mumble something about sour cream. I got my order, and ran outside. I jumped in my jeep, heard pounding, mind racing, and inhaled a taquito. I looked around to see who was watching. 2 girls in a taurus. **** em. I pulled my jeep out, and drove to the dumpster on the other side of my bushes. I got out, and looked around some more. Everything was slow mo to me but I KNOW I was going a trillion miles a minute. I ran to the back of my jeep, and looked around some more for good measure. I picked this thing up, tossed it in the back, and then tore *** out of there as fast as I could. What a rush.

I would make a Table out of it, or a wine rack..
Compare it with this one, you will see all the machining that still has to be done. Mine is a 6.0l, but they should be similar. Look at the Cam hole on the front of that one also, it's definately a mock up.
