What custom grind would be good?
Grrrr, now i'm thinking custom grind.
I have stock heads, i might get the ported, but not for a while. I have bolts one like LT headers, exhaust lid, ported MAF, etc. Its a daily driven (not in stop and go traffic though) M6. Also, it will have 4.10 gears.
I was thinking the 230/224 111LSA, but a sponsor is having a GP on comp cams, and i am thinking about a custom grind.
What should i go with that will give me the most HP out of stock heads? I remember hearing the stock heads stall out around .500 or .550 so i assume i want to just touch that number lift with the cam. What about duration, i am going to be N/A so should i go split reverse? I want a bump idle, the 111LSA appealed to me with that, also won't the lower LSA bring the power band lower?
What would be the ideal grind for me?

You could have Comp duplicate a 230/224 if you wished. Or a 228/224 or a 230/226 or a single pattern 226 or whatever. I'd keep the lift around the .550-.560 range.
Do you have emissions testing where you are at?

Re: What custom grind would be good?
I have emission testing, i'm just going to swap in the stock cam for it.
I know i can have comp cams duplicate, but i may as well get a cam that will work perfectly with my heads and all if i am going with a custom grind.
What split do you think is best on stock heads, the 230/224 or 228/224 or 230/226? I think the 230/226 might be too much for a stock displacement engine with stock heads, the 228/224 might not be bad, but i think the 230/224 would work just as well.
What lift would i go with? Would i want like .600 or so on the intake, and what on the exhaust?
What LSA should i go with, 111LSA? I want the lope, and other things the lower LSA come with.

.600 lift might be too high. You might have some piston to valve clearnce with that. I am currently running a 227/224 with a .569/.561 on a 114 and it sounds down right evil. All my freinds call me NHRA cause how beastly this thing sounds.
