Futral Motorsports ... Alan built stock CID motor with Ross racing pistons (w/ valve reliefs), stock rods & crank, ARP rod bolts, new bearings, B&B, bored & decked for 11.5 CR, re-touched the heads by cleaning up the intake and exhaust and new valve job, new valve train (springs & pushrods) with stock rockers. New cam is 232/235 588/601 on a 112 LS.
Jason got most of the top end work done on Sunday and my neighbor and I finished the transmission and exhaust yesterday. I finished it up tonight and after fighting with a dead battery it finally cranked up. Sounds good and is idling well.
After burning off the 1200 degree header paint (lots of smoke) and getting the cooling system lined out I took it for a ride. Just a couple of 1-2-3-4 easy gear rounds but it feels good and torqie (sp?). Look forward to tuning and dyno time.
Thanks Jason for your help.

No problem with the help Steve. I know how ready you were to get back on the road. I'm glad to hear everything is working out well.
I tried calling your cell when I got out of the LSU basketball game, but you must of not had it with you. Give me a call tomorrow.

well I waited 8 months to get it back together and we have afire at the plant the next day ... I am working 16-18 hrs a day and haven't seen the kids in three days. So it looks like I'll have to wait a little longer <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />
