Re: NHRA Stock engine build
Why the ??? ?. Al has run aginst a few of them. I stand corrected on the hp, I thought it was 543 but is actually 534; this was with unported(legal) heads. The question was asked how much power they make and I answered, you build them Brian and know that there are no "magical" components just careful attention in these engines. We did 5 for the 2001 season and a few the season before.

Well then, somebody's dyno is lying because that is about 20 more hp than we've ever gotten.... and last I checked, Al still has the quickest LS1 stocker in the country.
The question remains though, who? Amy Faulk's engines are done by her husband, the Wilke's brother's engines are done by Gary Russell ( I've been told), and I don't know who does Nathan Davis' motors. They are the only one's who have been close.

Re: NHRA Stock engine build
Why so defensive? Dyno nunbers are dyno numbers! When does the highest peak hp number always win? Some of those names sound familiar, I would never say a customers name on this forum unless I asked beforehand; I am sure you understand.
The average hp # is in the 495 to 515 range, this combo has a stronger trq curve and easier on the single springs. I won't argue over this matter, just passing on information to fellow forum memebers.

Not being defensive....performance speaks for itself. Just trying to keep things honest. you should know what I'm talking about.... I can think of a Viper builder who's performance numbers never seem to match his HP claims.... and even a big name GM tuner who's magazine article/shootout cars are all ringers, NOT the same car you get when you buy one of his packages.

I follow and agree 100% believe me, just seemed like we were getting placed in the same catagory. I never said we were better than anyone, just another getting the job done.
I think we are on the same page
