Default Head gaskets ????

Did a search for head gaskets and bolt the other day on gmpartsdirrect, and got a screwed price on the head gaskets( about $100,000 ), but it said something about a part number substitution. So I emailed them and asked for the correct numbers their response was the don't sell individual gaskets anymore only a kit, but the kit is $188.20 I did the math and ordering the parts before it cost about $92 for both sides for all the bolts and gaskets. What is different about this kit??? The part number for the kit is 12369018
. I am also a little disappointed with their service for my part number request. At the same time I asked for the part numbers for the bolts on the main bearings. They only gave me two numbers. I think there should be three. On top of that one of the numbers doesn't work the numbers they gave me are 112560272 bolt, cr/shft (bottom(long) this number doesn't work
12556127 bolt, cr/shft (side(short) can anyone help sort this out ???

Try our GM sponsor they will just sell the headgaskets and have much better customer service than what you experienced.

Read this thread from SDPC (a sponsor)

It has P/Ns, pics, prices, everything

https://ls1tech.com/ubb/ultimatebb.p...c;f=1;t=006529

You will NOT get GM head bolts or head gaskets at any better price.

This thread is a wealth of info....

Thanks! That link was very helpful I don't know where gmpartsdirect came up with their numbers. Now if I could just find the numbers for the main bolts, and studs <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

BTW, gmpartsdirect has great prices, [but], will rape you on shipping. Bottom line; Scoggin-Dickey (SDPC) has a cheaper "to-the-door" price than gmpartsdirect. Alot cheaper!

Actually, SDPC rapes almost as badly on the shipping. I've bought 3 things from them before, and their actual price and shipping combination was much more than gmpartsdirect. Only reason I bought from them is because gmparts would only sell certain items in bulk, and I only needed one. I think this thread is the first instance I've seen where SDPC is cheaper than gmpartsdirect.

I got my head bolts and head gaskets from Raging Motorsports (Sponsor). Shipping was only $10 and more importantly they were in stock.
