Does my ported oil pump suck?
wesley
My Katech pump puts out the same pressure as before pump.
You need to put fresh oil in and see if it comes back up, maybe coolant is watering down your oil resulting in less viscosity?
mine runs at 30ish, and then when it gets warm, it drops down to 15 sometimes.

<strong>mine is very low also. i am going to check the o-ring this week, and if it is not the problem, i am going back to a stock oil pump.

When the oil is warm and at idle, the oil pressure drops to 16psi and when I drive around it is always 30ish. I put in a stock oil pump, planning on checking the oring. Let me know what happens with your car, if it was the oring or not.

I put over 100 miles on mine, trying different things to see if I could figure it out, but it looks like the o-ring or the pump is the last thing to check (without tearing the whole engine apart). I just kept my car below 3500rpms, according to the shop manual, 24psi is safe for 4000rpms.
