Convince me why to get LS6 heads over 5.3
I have a bare but brand new set of 5.3 heads and was going to work with them over the winter. But since LS6 heads and that small cam are making 405 HP on the Z06 450 HP should be no problem or ever 460 may be possible to achieve. How much difference is the flow of them both when ported. Let me hear all the imput you got. And money is not a problem for me around christmas time.

How about I convince you not to get LS6 heads?
If you are building a 346ci setup and have no plans on doing a stroker later, stay with LS1/5.3L heads. There aren't enough gains going to an LS6 head on smaller displacement engines to justify the cost differences.
382ci and larger? Go with LS6 no question.

Yeah thats where the thing is. Eventually probably over the summer i will have a stroker built. So because im going with a stroker in the future and all i will have to do for the stroker is probably swap valves i should probably go with them. Will only be a heads and cam car for about 6 to 8 months.

I agree with Nineball that LS6 heads aren't with the $$$ if you aren't going bigger. Another option you may want to consider is going with LS1 6.0 heads. They flow great and cost a litte more than the 5.3's, you do however need to mill them to keep the compression up but it's worth it IMO.

I would have to mill the 6.0s to run the compression i want just too much so im thinking if i can find some used or cheap LS6 heads thats what ill get. Got sometime to search for them.
