Oh well here we go....

I am going to recommend AFR205s. Tony Mamo did extensive testing came with a 224/228 XE-R cam as a best fit... it depends on what your goals are though...

I would go with:
-AFR205s milled .024 to 62cc chambers
-.045 Cometics
-and the cam you referenced with no advance... IVC would be 45 @ .050

This would put your DCR at 8.57 and give you a static of 11.2 (assuming you are about .007 out of the hole...)...

If I were to spend that type of money I would get the ETP 215's or the Trick Flow 215's. GM High Tech tested those heads against several other heads and the other CNC heads tested made more HP & TQ than the Edlebrocks. In fact the Dart 225's as cast heads made just about the same HP.

The ETP heads and the Trick Flows are LS1 specific too. But if you are set on the Edlebrock's then I would use the TSP Terminator version.

afr's, etp, edlebrock, are all a good viable choice IMO. There's still something to be said for a good set of 243 castings that are ported by a good porter too. The TFS heads would be a good choice too as long as you don't mind buying a set of roller rockers to go with them, they need the rockers to work right.
