Default Valve Springs for Boost

What valve springs are suitable for stock valve size, stock cam, 1.8 rocker, and up to 20psi of boost? I think my stock lift is 0.500", so the lift would be .529"

You do need more spring pressure for boost then no boost. Theorectically you need to add the PSI x valve area that is on the back side of the valve. Which would be the PI x R squared or 3.14 x 1.00 squared or 3.14, minus the stem diameter 3.14 x (.312/2) squared or approximately 3 sq in of area times your boost of 20 PSI for a total of 60 lbs increase in spring pressure, blah, blah, blah. With that being said the stock spring is 60-70lbs seat pressure so a spring with 130 seat pressure should get you in the ball park. I would go with the Comp Cams 918, it drops right in. Hope this helps.
