Cam advance adjustments?

Cam advance adjustments? As previously posted by Patric G, LSx's like to have their cams set to have the valves close in the 44-46 ABDC range. I'd like to know what it'll take to set mine in this range or how to figure this out myself. Cam=Comp 218/228@.050, 527/537, 114 LSA w/+4* advance. This will be going on a 346ci with GMPP cnc'd LS6 heads, '02 springs, dished forged pistons, and a D1. Suggestions/Recc's? <img border="0" alt="[Corvette]" title="" src="graemlins/corvette.gif" />

ICL = 44 + 180 - (218 / 2)
ICL = 224 - (109)
ICL = 115
So you would want an intake centerline of 115. This would necessitate retarding the cam 5 degrees from the way it is ground.
Personally I would install it with a 114 intake centerline. Anything less and you will be sacrificing alot of top end relative to the midrange.

intake open 1- BTDC close 39 ABDC
exh open 52 BBDC close 4- ATDC
Specs are for cam installed at 110 intake center line.
