What makes a lifter tap (an assumption) on a cold engine after about 3-5 min of running the engine?
If I let the car (warm engine) sit for 5 min then start it up there is no tapping noise but after about 30 sec. the tapping starts again.
What causes the lifter to do this other than “because it is bad”?
