A/F was 12.8 - 13.0 on motor. Honestly I cn't remember the number after we put the 150 fuel jet in, but Jayson was happy with it.

I would rather be spraying forged internals, but.....I'm not. I know I'm taking a chance. I don't really want to spend the time and cash to go through the motor. I may regret it.

How can anyone NOT get hooked on this stuff?

Made some full passes today on a track that was hooking well.....and.... I'm totally hooked on spray!

Only problem is that the trans broke.... stuck in 3rd. It did it after a good pass...downshifted to third without any problem, and just stayed there. Trans is quiet, so hopefully a bent fork. I just went through a trans rebuild 1000 miles ago and it was working very well up to that point. Did I shove on the handle THAT hard?? Actually I thought I was pretty gentle with the shifter handle I guess I should post this in Drivetrain.

Scott, I'm pretty sure you either have a damaged syncro or one/some of the 3 "keys" that hold the syncro assembly together broke. I have had both of these scenarios occur with my tranny.

What was your best pass today?

As you can see in my sig. I have some of the same stuff except for the forged pistons and arp rod bolts. I also am planning on spraying very soon. What size do you think will hold up on my motor? I'm aware at this point the stock rods are the weakest link and im going to keep the rpm's down when on the bottle(probably 6600). I want to take it to the dyno and start with a motor pass, followed by the 100 jets, and the 150 jets,.....but I dont know exactly where to stop should I be done with the 150 or could I do 200? I know that im not going to go any bigger than 200, if thats even possible. thanks

Did you run at Evadale ? If so when is the next time they will be running because I would like to drive over since it will be closer to go compared to Eunice..

Is Evadale the new track? How does it hook? I might make a trip up there with you Tim when someone ships my heads back out.

Thanks for the info, Jason. Even though it's a no-brainer that the trans has to come apart again, it's nice to have some idea on what's wrong. Did I do something wrong to break this?

No times yet, the Evadale track doesn't have timing equipent yet. I CAN tell you that my car is freakin' flying! Compared to my best N/A passes, I've GOT to be in, or very close to 10's. Even without the concrete, the track was hooking very well.... lots of VHT.

Tim, this was the last weekend of the year for Evadale. They will now shut down until ~March. They are going to lay down 300ft of concrete (starting first thing tomorrow , install the timing system, bleachers, roadwork, etc. They will re-open up in March as a fully sanctioned IHRA track

You'll be better off checking with more experienced N2O users, but from what I've read, you'll probably be safe up to a 150 shot. You'll likely need rods to dependably go higher than that.

Those "keys" are a PITA and I have heard of them breaking quite a bit. Mine broke after 29k miles and then again after 600 miles This is what happened on my tranny the first two times. The third time, I had a defective 2nd gear syncro. The syncro would slide onto the speed gear, but would not slide off (hence, the stuck in gear). This was a brand new synco too.

Jason I've been hearing Evadale will be the place to run fast once they get there timing equipment..

I'll keep you guys posted on the track.

This place has a ton of potential. The owner is a proven businessman in all kinds of diferent ventures, and is not intimidated by taking on a big challenge. He's also a terminaly possessed gear-head.... just like us

I'm sure they will go through some growing pains, but if everyone is patient and flexible through the next year or so, we may very likely have a very nice place to go run our cars.

Close to sea level, lots and lots of paved pit area...... and friendly East Texas country folks to boot. I can also turn you on to a little place that makes some of the best bar-b-que, period.

I was chatting with a few people today and I was telling them about your dyno #'s on the spray. I told them the specs of your cam and they mentioned that the lsa 111 had more to do with the tq #'s than the reverse split. They mentioned that if you would have been on a 114 lsa your tq #'s would be higher.. What do you think?

Vince, Im on a 110 LSA. see sig for TNT #s on a 100 shot... Think I could make 900ftlbs or so if I were on a 114

I would have liked to have made a dyno run with the cutout open, but the dyno time was running long. I would expect the N2O numbers to be a good bit better with some free breathing.

I'm running a 2-1/2" y-pipe into a 3" intermediate. I feel that's about right for my N/A setup, but it's probably on the small side for N2O.

I never intended to completely set up the car for N20. I want to primarily keep it a strong N/A setup with a little "extra" on top.

You do have a strong NA setup.. I would think you would dyno higher with the cutout open. I am sure your tq #'s would jump up as well..
