I posted the graphs in the original post at the beginning of the thread if anyone's interested.

BB- you and I both know I don't need a cam and headers to deal with you. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_tounge.gif" /> j/k

"The orange hammer is Thunder's new high-speed valvespring compressor. Geoff bangs on the retainers with the hammer and Jason catches the locks with a magnet! Using their new (and no longer secret) method of replacing valvesprings"

Flame suit on and I'm sure I'll get booted for bashing a sponsor, but... A HAMMER to change valve springs on a fifty thousand dollar Z06?!!!
That's how they tear down cores at the junk yard.
And for the three "technicians" not wearing safety glasses, keepers will go through your eye like a bullet through jello. Seen it, now have a one eyed friend. Put the hammer down and step away from the vehicle.

There is no reason not to use the right tools. Was the customer charged less labor and shop supplies? I recently got involved in several "burns oil after a cam swap" jobs. It usually turns out to be wrong or improperly installed valve seals. But one LS1 turned out to be bent valves and tore up guides, from guess what? Hammering on the retainer to remove the keepers. Sodium filled hollow valves bend pretty easy, especially from the side load of a sledge hammer striking the retainer.

Enjoy the power, keep an eye on the dipstick. If you ever tear those heads down, roll the valves on a glass table. A good valve spring compressor is a priceless tool in a professional engine shop (as are safety glasses). Don't see any ASE badges on those uniforms? At the cleaners?
Off soapbox now, go ahead and boot me.

We have fun ribbing on each other down here in Louisiana. Trust me...all the correct tools were used to install the cam and springs. Just sit back and watch how we have fun raggin on each other and you will understand.

Hey, Z06Cam or any of the Thunder Racing guys, I've got an 02 WS-6, M6 and I'm doing H/C this winter. I was thinking of using this cam with the GM Performance parts CNC LS-6 heads that come with all the 02 valves and springs. Any input or suggestions? Which pushrods did you guys use also?
Thanks a bunch <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

What do you think about the heads matched with the cam? Will it be a descent combination? How was the idle on the Z06 also? Are the 02 springs not enough to handle that cam?

They changed the springs so my guess is they didn't feel comfortable with the stock spriing on that cam. I heard and rode in the car. If you didn't listen for the cam you would hardly notice it. The car was a beast too. Pulled hard through ever gear. Can't help ya on the heads choice since I have never seen anything on those. But I bet if you got a set of ls6 heads from GTP/Thunder you would see better results.

I don't want to say I'm on a budget, but the sky isn't the limit unfortunately. Here is the write-up on the heads for anyone willing to offer advice:
These heads will flow over 200cfm at 0.300" lift and 290+ at 0.500". Fully assembled with the 2002 Z06 light-weight valves and the new '02 valve springs. These heads have been milled 0.055" to bring the combustion chambers back down to approximately 60cc. Care must taken to check pushrod length and proper intake installation when using these cylinder heads.

If anyone thinks a different cam is a better way to go, please advise. Also, would the 7.400 pushrods still be the way to go?

The car is a 2002 WS-6 M6 with all the bolt-ons. 3.42 (and I'll probably stick with a 3.42 should I destroy it). I'm looking to put 400rwhp+ and torque in that area as well.
