Car choking?

Car choking? I went out to go to lunch today, started it up, and everything sound fine. I came to a stop then tried to move forward and it felt like the car was being suffocated. It felt like something just crushed its pipes. Then all of a sudden further down the street it felt like it opened up. Can you guys give me some ideas of what to look at when I get a chance to poke around it?

Its just a straight cam'd '98 car with long tubes.
The cam is the Thunder 224/224 .561/.561 112 LSA
The only things done to it recently is a swap to 918 springs all around from 941. That was done about a week ago.

Re: Car choking? I actually didn't do the swap myself since between work and school I have no days off to work on it. I'll check all the connections in the morning before I go to work. i am getting an SES but unfortunatly I can't check it because my cable got snagged. Thanks for the ideas so far. Oh it smells like it may be running alot richer than normal (since I'm still untuned) so I should probally look at the MAF first.
